Privacy Policy
Heal1 Pharmacy ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have, when you visit heal1pharmacy.com or place an order with us.
This policy is designed to comply with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and other applicable Indian laws.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that we need to serve you. This may include:
- Contact details you give us through the contact form, WhatsApp, phone or email — such as your name, mobile number, email address and delivery address.
- Order details — the medicines or healthcare products you ask about, prescription images you choose to share, and your delivery preferences.
- Website usage data — anonymous information collected automatically by Google Analytics, such as the pages you visit, your approximate location (city), device type and referrer. This data does not personally identify you.
We do not ask for or store any medical history, lab reports, or sensitive health data beyond what you voluntarily share to complete an order.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information only for the following purposes:
- To process and deliver your medicine orders.
- To respond to your enquiries, calls, and WhatsApp messages.
- To verify prescriptions where required by Indian drug regulations.
- To improve our website and customer service based on aggregated, anonymous usage data.
- To send order-related updates (delivery status, refill reminders) — only if you have an active order with us.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:
- Delivery partners — your name, phone number and delivery address are shared with our delivery executive or courier so they can deliver your order.
- Regulatory authorities — if we are legally required to disclose information (for example, to drug control authorities or law enforcement under a valid order).
- Service providers — Google Analytics for website analytics. We do not allow these third parties to use your information for their own purposes.
4. WhatsApp Communications
When you contact us via WhatsApp, your messages and any prescription images you send are received by our pharmacy staff to process your enquiry or order. These chats are governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to ours. We retain WhatsApp messages only as long as needed to fulfil your order and meet our record-keeping obligations under Indian pharmacy law.
5. Cookies & Similar Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies in three categories:
- Strictly necessary — required to make the site work (e.g. remembering your menu state on mobile, and remembering your cookie choice). These are always active and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — Google Analytics helps us understand which pages visitors find useful. You can also opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.
- Advertising — used to deliver and measure ads, as described in section 6 below.
When you first visit the site we show a cookie banner. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only if you accept; if you decline, or simply ignore the banner, they stay switched off and the site continues to work normally. We remember your choice for 180 days, after which we ask again. You can change your mind at any time — reset your cookie choice.
6. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
We may display third-party advertising on this website, including through Google AdSense. Advertising helps us keep our health guides free to read. Please note:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
- If you decline advertising cookies on our banner you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised to you.
- Advertisers may use other tracking technologies such as web beacons or pixels. We do not control these, and this Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of advertisers or other third parties.
- We never share your prescription images, health information, order details or phone number with advertising networks. Anything you send us on WhatsApp or through our contact form is used only to serve you, as described in sections 2 and 4.
For more detail on how Google uses data when you use our site, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
7. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all website traffic, restricted access to customer details within our pharmacy staff, and prompt deletion of data once it is no longer needed. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Under India's DPDP Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erase your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations under pharmacy regulations.
- Withdraw consent at any time for marketing or non-essential processing.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. Retention of Information
We retain your information only as long as needed for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required by Indian pharmacy and tax laws — typically not longer than 5 years from the date of your last interaction with us, unless a longer period is mandated by law.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on our homepage.
