Pantop 40 Tablet is a proton pump inhibitor that lowers the amount of acid the stomach makes. It is used for acid-related problems such as reflux disease, ulcers and heartburn, and to guard against ulcers in people who take painkillers for long periods. For best effect it is usually taken about an hour before food, most often in the morning.
