Uses of Monpic B Cream
- Ringworm.
- Athlete's foot.
- Jock itch.
- Fungal and yeast infections of the skin.
Benefits of Monpic B Cream
The antifungal tackles the infection itself while the steroid calms the itch, redness and swelling, so you get relief from discomfort sooner than with an antifungal alone. This makes it useful in inflamed, itchy patches.
Side effects of Monpic B Cream
Most side effects do not require medical attention and go away as your body adjusts. Consult your doctor if they persist.
- Tingling or pricking sensation on the skin.
- Allergic reactions such as rash, itching or swelling (rare).
How to use Monpic B Cream
Wash and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer with clean hands, as long as your doctor has advised. Wash your hands afterwards unless they are the area being treated. Keep it away from the eyes, nose, mouth and vagina, avoid airtight dressings and do not use on large areas or the face unless told to. Use for the period prescribed, usually one to two weeks.
How Monpic B Cream works
Beclometasone is a corticosteroid that lowers the chemical signals behind redness, swelling and itching. Clotrimazole is an antifungal that damages the protective outer layer of fungal cells, stopping them from growing.
